I thought, after i read DH, that Dumbledore had actually used the Elder Wand to repair Hagrids wand like Harry repaired his own.

Until I saw that happen I was just as confused about it but dumbledore would’ve felt okay with it since he knew Hagrid was wrongly expelled.

Are there any geographical limitations to apparating?

Religion in the wizarding world?

I’ve always wondered about religions in the Wizarding world, especially when churches were mentioned in the series. Do wizards go to church? Do they believe in God? Being a Christian myself, I’d like to think that at least a few families were Christians, but I’d like to have an official answer (obviously, or I wouldn’t have come here).

actually I think this is just a movie thing. They made the wands stylized and fitting to the characters to make them look cool. Cause the films are all about the visuals. Jo had nothing to do with that. In the book, theyre all just … wands. Sticks. made from different types of woods and with different lengths. In all of her doodles and the artwork she used to put on her website, on pottermore too, the wands aren’t that specific.

MA: How did they figure out how to work the map?

JKR: Don’t you — well. This is how I explained it to myself at the time, and this does sound glib. Don’t you think it would be quite a Fred and Georgeish thing to say in jest, and then see this thing transform?

MA: Yeah.

JKR: Can’t you just see them?

ES: But the exact word combination? Is that just a lot of luck, or Felix Felicis —

JKR: Or, the map helped.

MA: Yep, yeah. You can see them sort of answering and joking with each other —

JKR: And the map flickering into life here and there when they got closer and closer, and finally they hit upon the exact right word combination and it just erupts.

Well, the one thing I always wondered about was in the fifth book. While they are staying at Grimmauld Place, Molly suspects that there is a boggart in the desk drawer. However, she waits to take care of it until Mad-Eye can verify that’s what it is for her. How could Mad-Eye see what was in the desk drawer? I mean, I know how he could see it, with his magical eye. But we were told in the third book that no one knows what a boggart looks like before shape shifting. So what did Mad-Eye see?
